Our sustainability work
As a supplier of rugs and textile flooring, Ogeborg takes full responsibility for our environmental impact – from material selection and design to use, reuse, and recycling. We strive to create sustainable solutions that truly work in practice, where resources are used wisely and products are given a longer life. With circular economy principles at the core and clear climate targets for 2030, we aim to be a reliable partner to our clients and contribute to a more sustainable future.
Circular opportunities
The UN’s Global Goals for Sustainable Development and the EU’s regulations clearly show the direction we need to take – towards more responsible consumption, lower emissions and better protection of natural resources.
We closely follow developments, adapt to new requirements and view increased transparency as a natural part of our operations. As part of this, we offer a circular model that makes reuse simpler and creates value for both the environment and the business.
Product-level sustainability
The majority of our climate impact comes from the products we sell. That’s why we focus on reducing their environmental footprint throughout their entire life cycle.
One key factor influencing a product’s climate impact is its lifespan – the longer a carpet remains in use, the smaller its overall footprint. When products last, we avoid unnecessary extraction of new raw materials as well as emissions linked to manufacturing and waste.
Material choice also plays a crucial role. Products with a high proportion of recycled content have a lower environmental impact, and biobased or renewable materials are better options – provided that function and durability are maintained.
Carbon compensated products
For all our collections, we calculate the carbon footprint from raw material extraction to the delivered product. To take responsibility for the emissions that occur, we invest in certified projects that offset our impact and contribute to permanent climate savings in other parts of the world.

Goal 2030 – Our journey toward net zero
Our strategy for achieving climate neutrality is, first and foremost, to replace activities that generate greenhouse gases and secondly, to compensate for the emissions we cannot yet avoid.
In our work, we align with the UN Agenda 2030 and the Science Based Targets initiative. We focus continuously on four key areas:
