ODC Segment Rug Collection Design: Tekla Evelina Severin
The Segment Rug Collection is a series of hand tufted rugs created in collaboration with Tekla Evelina Severin to celebrate our 60th anniversary.
As a historical tribute, Tekla has reinterpreted two of our most classic patterns: the check and the stripe. In her reinterpretation, the two-dimensional patterns gain new divisions, varying heights, and extend beyond their original format. The idea is that these three graphic designs can be adapted in both scale and color – depending on the person, the room, and the moment – allowing them to remain relevant for years to come.
The rugs are hand tufted and produced in Portugal. The yarn is primarily a blend of wool and botanical silk, with touches of bamboo.
